Mercantour/Alpi Marittime ATBI+M

The first European ATBI+M pilot site was established in the protected areas Mercantour / Alpi Marittime based on Memorandum of Understanding signed between EDIT, the French "Parc National Le Mercantour", and the Italian "Parco delle Alpi Marittime" on 10th July 2007. So far, more than 90 researchers from EDIT have visited the area for field work, generating already more than 30.000 records documenting more than 5.700 species, with taxonomic groups ranging from mosses to orchids, and from tapeworms to butterflies.
