Call for students

THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED

We are looking for enthusiastic students eager to participate in two weeks of open, two-way exchange of ideas and knowledge about taxonomical field work and biodiversity. We offer theoretical courses, field work, lab work and discussions with professional taxonomists, in the breathtaking scenery of the island of Madeira. If you are accepted, we'll provide your transport from the country where your University/Institute is located to the location of the Summer School, full board and accommodation (probably in dorms) for the full period of your stay.

We expect you to be a team player, eager to learn and with a critical but positive attitude. Some of the field work will be carried out on rough ground.
You should take the necessary precautions with regard to walking gear and have an adequate physical condition.

There are only a limited number of places available and only 1 or 2 students per country will be accepted (depending on the nationalities of the applicants). It is therefore very important that you follow the application procedure to the letter.
