Please see the List of Courses to find out what's on offer this year

We are currently looking for motivated and skilled training providers/field researchers eager to initiate students in taxonomy in an open, two-way communication (theoretical courses, discussions, fieldwork, labwork). Please see the List of courses for an overview of topics.

If you are accepted, we will provide:

  • Transport from the country where your University/Institute is located, to Madeira
  • Full board
  • Accommodation for the period of your stay
  • Resources for field work, lab work and theory lessons
  • A modest per diem

We expect you to provide, in exchange, theoretical lessons and field/lab excercises on one of more of the subjects from the List of courses and to enter into regular and open discussion with the students. Just try to see where your favorite topic fits in and how you can help out with any of the other topics.

We will also demand a contribution to the EDIT Summer School syllabus well in advance on the topic(s) of your Summer School class(es) and/or field work. Take a look at the EDIT Summer School syllabus for 2008 and 2009  and the Description of work to know what we expect as course material.
